Berlin Club Survey: Your Voice for Berlin Club Culture
Surrounded by friends and many strangers, we spend nights and entire weekends together in clubs. Our desires, needs, and experiences are very individual. The Berlin Club Survey wants to find out how important club culture is to you, how comfortable you feel when going out, and whether you have observed or experienced discrimination in clubs yourself. By participating, you are helping to protect club culture and supporting it in creating spaces that are as safe and diverse as possible.
The questionnaire takes 10-20 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. You can answer all questions to the best of your knowledge. We would like to thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions, suggestions, or criticism, please contact us at: forschung@clubcommission.de.

Frequently asked questions:
Is the survey anonymous?
The survey is completely anonymous and your answers cannot be traced back to you. The aim of the survey is to gain an overview of experiences in Berlin's club culture as a whole.
How long do I have to complete the survey?
We recommend that you complete the survey here and now, before you forget. However, you still have until the end of February to do so.
When can we expect to see the results?
After the survey has ended, we will need time to review, evaluate, and interpret the large amount of data. We hope to be able to share our initial findings with you in the spring and have planned a detailed publication and discussion of the results for fall 2022.
What do you plan to do with the results?
We will share our results with you and the public. On the one hand, our goal is to explore the individual and social significance of club culture (during the pandemic). On the other hand, we want to develop a better understanding of the situations in which incidents of assault and discrimination occur in Berlin's club culture and how often they occur. The aim is to use facts and figures to help Berlin clubs create spaces that are as safe and diverse as possible.
How can I share the survey within my network?
We're delighted to hear that. We have provided text and image material for you to download at the following link.
I have not experienced discrimination myself. Can I still participate in the study?
Absolutely! The survey is aimed at anyone who goes to clubs in Berlin or works there. We would very much like to hear your views on a number of important topics, e.g., why you go to clubs, what is important to you when you go out, and what your expectations are of club culture after the pandemic.
I have experienced discrimination and am looking for support. Where can I turn?
We advocate for an open and diverse club culture for everyone. With our Awareness Academy , we have created an offering that enables people from the scene to learn more about and exchange ideas on topics related to awareness, diversity, and anti-discrimination in club culture. On the Awareness Academy website, you will find numerous advice and contact points. For example, the anti-discrimination app of the State of Berlin can be a first point of contact if you want to report cases of discrimination or receive support.
