Founded in 2001, the Clubcommission is the central network and voice of Berlin’s club culture. Earlier this year, the Clubcommission, in collaboration with the Awareness Academy, conducted the Berlin Club Survey as part of an online study. The enormous response yielded an unprecedented wealth of meaningful data on the social dimension of club culture and experiences of discrimination, as well as important insights for the implementation of future awareness initiatives. To analyze this data and publish the results of the Berlin Club Survey, we are currently seeking a highly motivated new member to join our research team.
Your main responsibilities include:
● You will assist us in analyzing the Berlin Club Survey according to scientific standards and using quantitative methods of empirical social research
● You will independently write and edit engaging texts in various formats for different audiences
● You will help edit and proofread external contributions (essays, papers, etc.) in English
● You will assist us in creating topic-specific presentations and infographics
● You will contribute to the preparation of reports and public relations activities related to the Berlin Club Survey
● As part of our team, you will handle minor organizational and administrative tasks in our day-to-day office work
● You will actively contribute to the further development of the Club Commission’s research activities
Job Requirements:
● Master’s student or undergraduate student in the upper semesters of a program in social sciences, political science, or economics
● Knowledge of quantitative methods in empirical social research
● Experience in statistical data analysis using SPSS or R
● Excellent language and spelling skills in German and English
● A very careful, conscientious work ethic
● Confident writing style, as well as experience in editing texts for
various audiences and stakeholders
● Ability to write complex scientific content in an engaging and understandable way
● Organizational skills, friendliness, and tact
● Basic understanding of Berlin politics and administration is an advantage
● You enjoy contributing to the publication of one of the most comprehensive studies on
Berlin club culture and are highly motivated to acquire technical expertise in our key research areas.

The weekly work schedule is 15 hours. We pay €14 gross per hour. The position is available immediately and is initially a fixed-term contract ending on June 30, 2023.
