The following topics of discussion emerged during the conversation among those present:
- How can initiatives network and learn from one another? Many initiatives are already making important contributions in this field, but would like to further develop their approaches, share their knowledge, or discuss specific situations. At the same time, there is a desire to pool knowledge, data, and expertise.
- Can the needs of the various stakeholders in club culture be reconciled? People who work at the door or behind the bar, as well as different club demographics, have various concerns regarding awareness and diversity. Furthermore, it would be desirable to make this knowledge accessible beyond the club culture itself.
- What kind of standards are needed for awareness-raising efforts? This question is also relevant in the context of independent complaint mechanisms or certifications. Furthermore, there is the challenge of continuously refining these standards.
- Who covers the costs? Affordable opportunities for professional development are important. But long-term projects often have to be carried out on a tight budget as well. This raises the need to discuss the tension between volunteer work and professional care work.
