Introduction to Anti-ableism and Accessibility Awareness with Agnieszka Habraschka
This workshop will provide an introduction to disability and ableism. We’ll explore why accessibility isn’t just a nice-to-have but a human right. We’ll learn to challenge ableist norms, expectations, and stereotypes, and gain an overview of accessibility measures for creating more welcoming events.
The workshop will be led by Agnieszka Habraschka (she/they), a newcomer music producer and vocalist who also works as a production manager, consultant, and dramaturg with a focus on accessibility and anti-ableist cultural work and performance art, as well as intersectional anti-discrimination. Agnieszka is neurodivergent, has invisible disabilities, and has experienced migration and poverty.
Relaxed workshop: This means you can participate in any way that feels best for you, because attention can look different for everyone. There will be various seating options available. You can move around, lie down, use your sensory toys, take a break, eat snacks, drink your favorite beverage—all forms of participation are welcome in this workshop.
