Safer Club Culture Conference Berlin

At the "Safer Club Culture Conference Berlin", we want to bring together stakeholders from Berlin's club culture who are crucial to enabling and shaping actual and practical change processes with regard to anti-discrimination measures, access barriers, diversity and support for those affected. Together with all relevant trades from clubs, collectives and awareness & diversity initiatives in this context, we want to develop, discuss and agree on goals and measures for a safer club culture.

The aim should be to work together todevelop guidelines or amanifesto that can provide Berlin clubs and club culture stakeholders with achievable guidelines and orientation on the one hand, and that the Club Commission can use as a basis for its cooperation with its members and in its dialogue with politicians and administrators on the other.

With the first roundtable of the Awareness Academy this year, we have already provided initial impetus for this process and worked out initial values and minimum standards with key players from Berlin's club scene. We now want to build on this.

As a starting point, we will draw on the results of the last roundtable as well as the projects and formats of the Awareness Academy in recent years. In addition, the initial results of the Berlin Club Survey , which we will present on site, will provide a further relevant basis for this joint process.

With the support of various experts and specialists, we will work together in groups to discuss different perspectives, including awareness, harm reduction & safer use, intersectionality, (gender) diversity, complaint management & community accountability, infrastructure, staffing, sustainability, and door policy, and develop guidelines for Safer Club Culture Berlin.
