In the course of the ongoing evaluation of our free Awareness Academy workshop program for Berlin's club culture, we have repeatedly found that participants find the cross-club and cross-industry exchange on their own problems in the context of awareness and anti-discrimination work to be very valuable and helpful. At the same time, there is a growing need for support for clubs, collectives and event organizers in dealing with specific cases of discrimination at their own events or within their own structures.

Trans Misogyny

Trans Misogynie ist eine spezifisch gegen →trans Frauen gerichtete Transfeindlichkeit. Das kann sich zum Beispiel darin äußern, dass →TERFs trans Frauen aus feministischen Räumen ausschließen, dass sie Angebote für Frauen wie Nachttaxis nicht verwenden können obwohl sie nachts auch gefährdet sind oder dass von ihnen verlangt wird, sich auf eine bestimmte Weise zu kleiden und zu verhalten, die von →cis Frauen nicht abverlang wird. Es kann z.B. passieren, dass eine trans Frau (auch in →feministischen oder →queeren Kreisen) nicht als Frau akzeptiert wird, wenn sie Jogginghosen, kurze Haare und kein Makeup trägt oder sich die Beine nicht rasiert, während das bei cis Frauen meist als ok gilt.
